One large wood and leather great armchair, with a very large mahogany frame topped with a broken pediment housing a carved Crest of the City of Ottawa. The seat and part of the back is padded with horse hair and upholstered in black leather. There are flute columns at sides of back, the arms area wide scroll design with a carved leaf design on the sides of the arms. The four legs are thick turned baluster with metal casters on the bottom. The back of the great chair is finished with mahogany with a panel
corresponding to the padded back.
