Description
[a]: One man's black moleskin top hat in tan leather carrying case with lid, the hat is decorated with a black grosgrain ribbon around the base of the crown with black metal buckle. There is a brown leather sweatband that fits inside of the top hat.
[b]: One top hat case with a large leather strap across the base and on top of the lid. There is a raided metal lock on the front of the case near the bottom. The case is lined with a blue and white striped fabric.

Hat (A): On inside of top: "Extra Quality/(herald) Domine nos dirge/ MacCarthy & Co./10, Grisham Street,/and 30 Ludgate Hill,/London"Case (B, C): Floral shaped symbol stamped into straps at each end of case that hold hat in place. "J---Caw---" on the plaque on the lid but VERY lightly scribed. Large "2" written in pencil in the top inside of lid.
