One khaki cotton-covered bell-shaped cork helmet. Equipped with an irregular-shaped finial screwed onto the crown. The brim is elongated at the front and back, comes to a point at the front and has a square-shaped brim at back where it slopes downwards towards the back of the neck. Trimmed with a pleated olive green band (pagri) of silk and a thin band of red silk. Leather brim edge. Inside of brim is lined with Irish green cotton. The sweatband is of thick leather, surrounded by a circle of corrugated cardboard covered with green cotton. 2 brass clips attached to either side of the helmet on sweatband (for missing straps?). Cream cotton lining for the inner crown, trimmed with a wheel-shaped gold-coloured wood ornament surrounded by a red circle at the inner crown. Helmet is very lightweight.
