One large door latch, mounted on a large white wooden panel for display. On one side is a large raised handle made of rolled steel sheet metal, with a large thumb actuated lever. On the other side, the lever protrudes and is bent downward, creating a handle that can be lifted. Above it is a long flat steel bar that is hinged to the right of the lever, passes through a bracket to the left of the lever, and rests on a catch at the far right. All parts on this side with the exception of the lever are painted green. A card with the latch's history is attached with thumbtacks to the white panel.
