Description

[a]: One pewter inkstand with a slightly tapered body with a single recessed band 4cm from bottom; followed by two sets of double bands, 2.1cm from bottom and 3.3cm from bottom respectively. The lip extends outwards slightly and the top is recessed by 0.9cm. There is a hole in the centre which measures 4.6cm in diameter, five holes, each measuring 0.9cm in diameter surround the larger hole. There is a round flip top lid secured with pin, the top of the lid is decorated with two consecutive circles and the diameter of lid is 6.4cm [b]: One glazed, truncated, conical inkwell with a ledge at the opening extends .8cm. This container fits into large hole in [a].
