Description
One reed and wind apparatus housed in a reddish brown wooden cabinet mounted on a four-sided pillar with a scroll-footed pedestal base. The L-shaped cabinet is decorated around the lid and bottom edges with a reel-type molding. The lower section of cabinet has a hinged top-lid and hinged front panel- both of which open to reveal a three- octave keyboard in wood and ivory; hinged front panel has a diamond shaped, inlaid ivory keyhole. The pillar narrows slightly at the top near cabinet, the edges and base of the pillar are also decorated with reel molding. At the top of the pillar two metal braces fastened to pillar to help support cabinet. Pedestal base shaped like a square with concave sides; it has one foot pedal projecting from center of front side. Upper section of cabinet has a hinged lid as well.
