One large bronze medallion, the front of the medallion has a depiction of Christopher Columbus setting foot on land in the new world. At least 3 men are behind him, the nearest one carrying a large flag. Embossed on the left side "PLVS // VLTRA // CHRISTOPHER // COLVMBVS // OCT. X11 // MCCCCXCII"; "AVGUSTUS SAINT GAVDENS FECIT". The back of the medallion has a large rectangle with the inscription in it: "WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION // IN COMMEMORATION OF THE // FOUR HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY // OF THE LANDING OF COLUMBUS // MDCCCXCII // MDCCCXCIII // To Harry M. PERLEY." ; "C. E. BARBER FECIT". On top of the rectangle are two angels on either side of a globe, one blowing a horn, the other holding a pen and tablet. On either side of the rectangles are lit torches. And below the rectangle is an image of a tall ship.
