Description

One sampler with a bone-colored linen background and decorated with rows of alphabetic figures and one of numbers interspersed with rows of design. The center of the sampler has a dedication to Jane's mother. The bottom section has the signature and designs of trees and birds. The sampler has a border of vines and flowers. The colors of embroidery floss used are black, shades of green and ivory. The sampler is a Narrow black wooden frame.

Pencil Marks on back, hard to read: "----by Miss Winnifred Lewis/ ----Framed in May 1934 by Jos Wilson (?)/ Delivered (?) M---1934". Number 2034 in marker as well.
