"Canal near the Bank St. bridge, Ottawa, Ont. Painted by Lucinda (Watt) Hodgins (1914-1915 app.) -born in Carleton County, great aunt of Mrs. Dorothy Sutherland (nee Richardson). Lucinda Watt was the daughter of John and Ann Watt. Her mother's name before marriage was Malcolmson. Lucinda was given painting lessons and she continued to paint for some time."
