Description

One oil painting depicting a lake with mountains in the background. The mountains are highlighted with rose colored light, and mist is drifting over them. On the other side of the cardboard is a painting of the Entrance Valley to the Rideau Canal as seen from Parliament Hill. To the viewer's left is the Commissariat and to the viewer's right of the canal is the Royal Engineers Building, later Col. Coffin's House. The sky is light blue and cloudy. Landscape is signed: "G. Hollyer".
