One watercolor painting showing a large canoe with 2 crewmen and 4 women passengers paddling near the shore, in the background are a steam paddle wheeler and 2 sailboats, small picture in old gold frame. On envelope glued to backing "Name of canoe on slip on inside. First canoe on Ottawa River in front of March Township, Brother James was James Read, steamer probably the Jessie Cassels but more likely the Lady Colborn".
