41 York Street (St. Louis Hotel) is the current home to the Lookout Bar, Ottawa's oldest 2SLGBTQIA+ bar that opened in 1996. It was built in 1875 for the St. Louis Hotel after the hotel's previous building was destroyed by fire in 1874. The hotel operated there from 1875-1909, and from 1921 to 1975 it was the home of Peter Devine Ltd. grocers.
