One black and white matte collodion photographic postcard depicting a cemetery, a picket fence has been built around the gravestones. Large trees are located in the background, located in San Juan Island. Inscribed on the back: "Cemetery of the British Soldiers while they were in occupation of San Juan Island. This is kept in repair by The British Government which by the way is a subject of comment by the present American residents as their cemetery at the American Camp on the south end of the Island is allowed to be overrun by sheep and cattle. / No. 1981 / (one of a set of three) / POST CARD / CORRESPONDENCE HERE / NAME AND ADDRESS HERE / AZO / PLACE STAMP HERE".
