Description
One black and white silver gelatin photographic postcard depicting groupings of tables and chairs in a military hospital. The back is covered with a letter from Margaret Heggie Smith. Written on the bottom left of the image is "Nurses Dining Room." On the back of the postcard is written "Ontario Military Hospital Orpington Kent April 30th" and below this, a letter from Margaret Heggie Smith to Beatrice Barber: "To my dearest Bee, I really am ashamed of myself but really since the Sisters arrived I do nothing but answer questions and scold. I did not receive any papers and have not heard from home for ages. Will write a long letter soon and send photographs. This is our dining room. Love to the family. - Margaret".
