Description

One colored print depicting a painting done by C.W.Jeffreys, it depicts a lumber raft on the Ottawa river about to enter the rapids. There is a small shelter of flat boards built in the center of the raft. Oars are used at the bow, sides and stern to guide the raft. Of the twelve men on the raft, eleven are manning oars, one is directing the course of the raft. Information below picture. The print is displayed in a plain narrow medium brown varnished wooden frame.
