Description

One large copper alloy strongbox with reinforced edges, the sides and top have oblong areas outlined with decorative metal molding which forms panels. On one side near the upper edge is a small brass plaque. Each of the door panels have a stout swivel handle attached and each door has a double-hinge on outside edge. Centered in each door panel is a keyhole in a raised oblong escutcheon with a hinged lid. Two oblong heavy folding metal handles are mounted at the center inside edge of each half. A plaque, not original to the box is mounted on one corner. The strongbox key is missing.
