[a]: One wooden level with silver engraved plate inscribed with : "THIS LEVEL // was used by // Mary Emily Haycock // IN LAYING THE FIRST STONE OF // The Government Buildings Of The Province Of Canada // IN OTTAWA // April 2nd 1860. // GOD SAVE THE QUEEN" AND "C.COX.S.C.OTTAWA". The top side covered with a brass plate screwed in place by 12 screws. There is an opening for the glass portion where the leveling is read.
[b]:One maple leaf shaped trowel in silver with an off white horn or bone handle. The top of the trowel is engraved with a leaf veins and cross hatching for texture, the bottom of the trowel is engraved with an inscription, "THIS TROWEL // WAS USED // BY // MARY EMILY HAYCOCK // IN // LAYING THE FIRST STONE // OF THE // GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS // OF THE // PROVINCE OF CANADA // IN // OTTAWA APRIL 2ND 1860 // GOD SAVE THE QUEEN" .
[c]: One polished wooden box, with dove tail joints, two metal hinges and a metal lock.
