image shows parade heading north on Main St. with all the buildings highly decorated to honor William Conway of Camden who during the Civil War refused to take down the US flag at Pensacola Naval Station and was imprisoned by the Confederates for not doing so.. The Conway Boulder was put in place in his memory and was dedicated on this day August 30, 1906Collection
