Interior of the Lodge House of the Camden Snow BowlEntry/Object ID
CRHS 2013.81Description
This is a 1937 picture of the interior and fireplace of the finished lodge house of the Camden Snow Bowl. The lodge house was built in the fall of 1936 by many volunteers. Materials and lumber were rafted across Hosmer Pond because a road had not been built at this time. The lodge was a popular place for the community to gather year-round until Nov. 1967 when the lodge was destroyed by fire that started in the area of a gas hot water heater.Collection
