Description

A rectangular belt buckle, branded to Christensen Less Cost Per Foot. Features: A rectangular, cast brass belt buckle, the buckle has a flat front and a lightly curved back. Front Design: A 3-5mm wide border, with a rectangle smooth surface border. The recessed interior is flat and painted yellow. in the centre of the buckle is slightly raised imagery of Oil rig and derrick. across the bottom of the belt to carve out the landscape of the image is 3 softly curved lines. Centred to the belt is a slightly raised brass coloured diamond with a black painted diamond border inside. Engraved into the brass diamond at the top in black is "LESS COST", and at the bottom of the diamond " PER FOOT". In-between the two smaller texts is slightly larger text "CHRISTENSEN" Painted in blue and black.To the bottom left of the diamond is very small raised text "A NORTON COMPANY". Centred below the diamond is bold text " DOWNHOLE TOOLS". Back Elements: The back has a flat, smooth, bass coloured surface. In the centre is a slightly raised rectangle connecting a thinly curved hook and an elongated hexagon shaped hinge. The hinge is attached at two points on the left side of the raised rectangle. In the centre of the rectangle is small engraved text "The Leather Shoppo", below that is small text " O.K.C. OK." Old Description (Kelsey Dalrymple, 3 June 2020): Christensen Downhole Tools. Less Cost Per Foot. Brass belt buckle with yellow enamel face. Service rig in center. Logo within a diamond at top.

Surface

Front: Small scratch, exposing the surface under the paint on the top right corner of the buckle. Slight discolouration or corrosion inside the raised text and imagery of the derrick leaving the buckle turning slightly green. The border has small scratches along the outside edge. Back: Large silver spot when the raised rectangle is connected to the buckle. Green discolouration top right corner of the buckle. Along the left side of the buckle going vertical is large scratch. Hinge has green discolouration and spots of adhesive residue.

Mechanism

Hinge moves slightly, but does not have full range of motion.
