A commemorative plate for the 50th anniversary of Leduc #1. The plate is white ceramic with a black pen and ink sketch of the Leduc No.1 oilwell site. The illustration features a large depiction of Ledic No.1 encased in a thin circle outline. The lip of the plate is outlined in gold.
The back of the plate features a small, black logo for the City of Leduc at the top with black text underneath. The logo is of a circle split into four pie sections, each featuring a different image (the top image is unidentifiable, the right is a gas pump, the bottom is a cow, and the left is an oil derrick). Underneath the circle is a black banner with white text reading, "LEDUC", and two wheat stalks on either side of the circle. The middle of the plate features a light grey maker's mark for Duchess and displays text reading, "FINE BONE CHINA / MADE IN ENGLAND".
Black text underneath the logo reads, "In commemoration of this very special occasion, this limited edition collectors plate is presented to you from Leduc City Council." Black text underneath the maker's mark reads, "Pen and Ink Sketch of the Leduc No. 1 Oilwell Site as depicted in 1997 LSD #5 of section 22 50 26 W4 By Artist Jason Berryman, of Leduc, Alberta / Imperial Oil celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the discovery of oil at the site on February 13, 1997. The Leduc No. 1 Interpretive Centre is operated by the Leduc/Devon Oilfield Historical Society".Collection
