Description

A bulged-rectangle belt buckle, branded to Bechtel and the Al-Tameer Project/1992-1993 Free Kuwait. Features: A bulged-rectangular, cast brass belt buckle, finished in antique-bronze colour. The buckle is very lightly curved. Front Design: A 4-5mm border around the edge, with a darker, matte textured interior surface. At the centre of the design is the Bechtel logo, which comprises block text "BECHTEL" angled diagonally (bottom-left to top-right) with a thick block border, behind which is a globe image. To the left is the silhouette of a pumpjack, and to the right is an unidentified silhouette of circles on vertical poles. Along the top is the curved block text "1992 FREE KUWAIT 1993", and along the bottom is the block text "AL-TAMEER PROJECT". Back Elements: The back has no texture, with a fixed hinge and curved hook. Between these elements is the debossed text "ANACORTES BRASS WORKS LTD." in a circle shape, and the text "1992 HAND MADE SOILD BRASS ANACORTES, WASH.; 98221, U.S.A" in a block within that circle. Below is a line reading "LIFETIME GUARANTEE", and around all the text is a fine debossed ring. Old Description (Kelsey Dalrymple, 3 June 2020): Bechtel solid brass belt buckle. 1992-1993 Free Kuwait. Al-Tameer Project (Donated by Ken Common).
