Description

Postcard featuring a photograph in black and whiter, of the business sector of the town of Devon, Alberta. Photograph Description: A view looking down the street in the business sector. Visible are storefronts along the left side, with a line of angle parked cards in front. A small truck can be seen driving on the right-hand side of the road towards the camera, with two car the in background driving the opposite direction. Of the storefronts, the front most has a Coca-Cola sign and appears to be a billiard hall, beside which is a shorted storefront also carrying Coca-Cola branding. The third building is the original Royal Bank of Canada building (unclear is still used for this purpose at this time). Further down are more buildings including the Delair's building (again, unclear if still use for this purpose at the date of the photograph). To the right of the street can be seen a small ferris wheel, and people walking along the sidewalk. Location: Devon, Alberta Date: 1950-1960s Paper Stock: Card
