Description

A medium-sized photographic print, with a white border. The image is of FOUR ladies seated at a panel table, looking at the camera. The ladies in the image are Lois Gregor, UNIDENTIFIED, Freida Shield, and Jean Angus (1963 President). A fifth lady can be seen just out of frame. Description: Seated at a long, panel table with a red tablecloth are four women, from left to right: A lady in a black and white striped long-sleeve top, black necklace, and white and red hat corsage/brooch (similar to one in our collection, 2004.2.206); a lady in a navy-blue v-nack sweater over a white collared shirt, red/white/blue necktie, and same corsage/brooch as previous; a lady turned to the right-of-frame in a turquoise short-sleeve top and tinted glasses; and a lady in an open white sweater-vest over a mauve long-sleeve collared shirt and large necklace/brooch. The fifth figure is wearing a dark-blue long-sleeve shirt/blazer. On the table in front of the ladies are three white boxes, two brown glass trays/ashtrays, and assorted paper items. Behind them is a wood-panelled wall (dark-wood raised/overlay panel wainscoting style), on which are two framed images and three letter cards ("-G", "H-N", and "N-Z"). Accompanying the photograph (via proximity on the scrapbook page and context) is a white adhesive label with the typewritten text "Region VII Meeting, Calgary; Registration; Lois Gregor; ..; Freida Shield; Jean Angus (1963 President)". Taken during a 1972 Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs of North America meeting, likely the Region VII annual meeting in Calgary (26-28 May 1972). Format: Landscape, colour, with white border.
