Description

A large black and white (matte) photograph of an active oil flare in a field. In the nearer-midground are TWO men, one in a white shirt, tie, suspenders, dark pants, and dark hat facing towards the camera; and the second in a light-coloured blazer/jacket and white hat, facing away from the camera. They are surrounded by a grass/wheat field. The flare is in the midground, and raised from the lower-third of the image up to the top, with a bright base and black smoke top. Behind the flare is an oil rig surrounded by relevant small buildings. Notable imperfections in the film, including a large white mark in the upper-centre, and a short black hair in the upper top-left. The print is mounted onto white, heavy cardboard, with velcro in each corner and residue from blue sticky tack. In the centre of the back is a small yellow post-it reading "Oil Leduc".
