Scope and Content

A greeting card with red roses, addressed to Lillias Ferguson. Description: On the front cover is a large image of three roses, with leaves and five rosebuds (raised, metallic finish), and the text "WITH WARM CONGRATULATIONS". On the left-interior page is another large image of a rose and rosebud with leaves. On the right-interior page is printed in black a long passage, with the black ink handwritten message: "Lillias; Congratulations for a truly fine Regional Meeting — understanding circumstance — and good luck for future "undertakings"! It was a pleasure to be part of your team in Calgary. Betty [Lou?]". On the back cover is the maker's mark for Hallmark (Coutts, Canada) and copyright code "35 M 603-1". Format: Quarter-fold Material: Medium-weight cardstock, colour print and black ink handwriting, embossed and metallic finish elements. This item is associated with Lillias Ferguson's relationship as a member of the Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs of North America, mentioning her involvement in the Region VII annual meeting in Calgary (26-28 May 1972).
