A plaque, presented to the Canadian Petroleum Discovery Centre by the Town of Devon in 2007.
A wooden plaque with a black metal plate and gold text. The wooden base is stained a warm brown colour and has deep grooves on each side, creating pyramid corners. The black metal plate rests on a gold metal plate. Gold text reads from top to bottom, "THE TOWN OF DEVON / Congratulates / The Canadian Energy Petroleum Discovery Centre / on the / 60th Anniversary Of Leduc #1 / February 13, 1947 - 2007 / "Built by Oil, Sustained by Families"". The metal plate also features a large golden illustration of a pump jack underneath "60th Anniversary Of Leduc #1". The Town of Devon logo is placed on both the bottom left and bottom right corners of the plate; text reading "Town of / Devon / Alberta" with three lines creating a check mark running underneath the text.
The back of the wooden backing has two spaces cut out so that it can be hung on a wall. These are placed at the top of the back and on the right side. A gold rectangular sticker is placed at the top with black text reading, "Leduc Trophies Ltd. / 5218 - 50 Street / Leduc, AB T9E 6Z6 / Phone: 986-4500". A clear sticker, underneath the right cut out, with black text reads, "MADE IN CHINA".Collection
