A medium-sized booklet, published by the Department of Mines and Technical Surveys. Cover Design: A kraft-coloured cardstock with black print. At the top of the booklet, centre-aligned, is a small image of Canada's crest, and underneath reads "CANADA DEPARTMENT OF MINES AND TECHNICAL SURVEYS", underlined with a thin black line. The top right corner of the front cover is a handwritten inscription with an illegible letter or shape, but underneath reads, "Personal". The outside back cover features small black text in the centre of the page. The inside back cover has a cardstock pocket to hold the five different maps. The contents inside the cover include the 18-page booklet, which has been separated from the cover, and five folded, loose geographical maps stored in the back pocket.
