Oval belt buckle, branded to Alberta Governor Service Ltd. (Edmonton, Alberta).
Features: An oval, cast metal (likely brass) belt buckle, finished in antique-bronze. The buckle is lightly curved.
Front Design: An oval belt buckle, with a 3mm border around the edge. The recessed interior surface has a scattered hash texture. At the top, curved to follow the buckle shape is the text "ALBERTA GOVERNOR SERVICE LTD." and curved along the bottom is "EDMONTON, ALBERTA". At the centre is the silhouette of a centrifugal governor/fly-ball, which appears in the company's branding and logo.
Back Elements: The back has a star-burst line texture, with an elongated hexagonal-shaped hinge, and a decorative, 4-point hook. Between these is a small raised rectangular plate with the debossed test "AT (stylised logo); MADE IN CANADA".

There are two patches of adhesive residue on the back. On the left is a vertical line of adhesive (beneath the accessing number slip), and to the bottom-right is a rectangle of adhesive. there are also two small spots of of adhesive with paper fibers attached int he centre-top of the back.Surface
The front surface has light to medium denting throughout the edges and the fly-ball image. A particularly large dent/scratch can be seen on the right-side of the fly-ball base.
There are. notable scratches and dents/gouges on the back surface. On the left-side, in line with the accession number slip is a vertical scratch from top to bottom. To the right of the hook, is an uneven scratch from roughly top to bottom. To the top-right of the hinge is a deep dent/gouge in the metal. It is unclear if this dent/gouge is damage or from the production process.Materials
There is a large patch of dark discolouration on the front of the buckle, around the fly-ball. More dark discolouration can also be seen on the fly-ball itself, focused on the balls and the base.
More dark discolouration can be seen on the back, around the hinge and hook, and across the centre.Mechanism
