A steel model semi-truck, branded to Texaco Star and the 1983 Indy 500 winners Tom Sneva and George Bignotti. The semi-truck is made from pressed steel, with plastic detailing. The truck and trailer have a white metal base, on which are white stickers with the printed details. The cab and trailer are joined by a pin and can be separated easily. A total of 10-wheels are on the entire rig. Cab / Tractor Unit Details The cab section has an "L" shaped sticker on either side of the cab with black line-art of the door and other panelling, along with a lightly-angled horizontal line of blue surrounded by red and a round star Texaco logo on a black background. the windscreen and side windows are filled with yellow-tinted clear plastic, and the internal details (console, steering wheel, and seats) are a tan plastic mould. At the front is a silver plastic grill, headlights, and bumper. Silver plastic horns and lights are positioned on the cab roof, a silver plastic vertical exhaust is attached to the back-left, and the wheel rims are silver plastic. Behind the cab are two black fuel tanks (one on each side), and the silver metal flatbed trailer where the 5th wheel is located (trailer section is connected). The tractor unit has 6 wheels; two under the cab, and 4 further back under the 5th wheel. The undercarriage is in black plastic with moulded details. Semi-Trailer Details The trailer has a large white sticker along the left and right sides, one which is printed with a variety of imagery and text. Diagonally through the length of the sticker is a zig-zagged blue band, with red bands on the top and bottom. In the centre, above the diagonal line is Texaco's round star logo in red and white, followed by the black text "TEXACO STAR" and an American flag above the word "STAR". To the top-right is the black script text "Bignotti-Cotter; RACING TEAM". To the bottom-right is the black script and block text "Tom SHEVAL; DRIVER". To the left-of-centre below the diagonal band is the black text "1983 'INDY 500' WINNER". In the bottom-left is the navy-blue text "HAVOLINE; MOTOR OIL". On the underside of the trailer is the pin used to connect the trailer to the tractor (front-end); and two sets of wheels at the back-end. At the rear of the trailer are double-doors which open. On the top of the trailer are 8 ridges.Collection
