Rectangular belt buckle, branded to Caterpillar
Features: A rectangular, cast metal (likely brass) belt buckle with rounded corners, finished in antique-bronze. The buckle is lightly curved.
Front Design: A 3mm border around the edge, with the recessed interior surface having a tiny triangular stamp texture. In the centre of the buckle is raised imagery of a large tractor. Below the tractor at the bottom of the buckle is a small raised rectangle with raised text reading "CATERPILLAR" below that in the rectangle is smaller text reading " QUALITY PRODUCTS REG'D"
Back Elements: The back elements has a slightly rough flat surface, with a thin curved hook and rectangle shaped hinge attached at two points.In the centre of the belt buckle near the bottom is the makers mark reading "MACKENZIE TRADING CO. LTD. Edmonton Alberta, CANADA, Trademarks CATERPILLAR CAT and © Licensed by Caterpillar Tractor Co."

Front: The front of the buckle is very worn. lots of discolouration and scuffs on front of the buckle. The text at the bottom is faded and worn.
Back: The back is discoloured and faded. Some of the letters in the text are worn off. Adhesive residue patch on the left side of the buckle. Adhesive residue leaving a vertical line beside the hook.Mechanism
