Commemorative model of Cohasset offshore oil rig inside a clamshell, cast in metal.
Features: A metal (potentially pewter) cast model of the Cohassett offshore oil rig, positioned within a hinged clamshell. Intended as ornamentation for a desk or shelf. The exterior of the shell is molded to imitate a real clamshell's ridges, both top and bottom. The base also has three small square feet the piece rests upon. When closed, the lid rests upon the top of the model of the rig. When opened, the top can be rotated back to roughly 90-degrees from the base. On the interior of the shell top is the shape of two half-circles overlapping in the upper-centre, on which is the text: "COHASSETT; 1992; FIRST OFFSHORE OIL", with a maple leaf and two wave lines to the lower-left. On the interior of the shell base is a 3D model of the Cohasset offshore oil rig, with textures beneath to simulate water.Collection
