Oval belt buckle, branded to GBH/Gas Test Operating Inc.
Features: An oval, cast metal (likely pewter) belt buckle, finished in antique-silver colour. The buckle is very lightly curved.
Front Design: A 1.5-3mm raised border around the edge of the buckle. The recessed interior has a pinpoint textured. To the left of the space is an inital-based logo, with the letters "GBH" inside the the shape of a valve. To the right is the rounded block text "GAS TEST OPERATING".
Back Elements: The back has a stylised brick-design texture, with a blank square between the hook (flat and broad, curved inward) and the hinge (an irregular hexagon, attached at an indented base bar). In the blank square is the debossed text "B.G.H.; GAS TEST OPERATING INC.; DENVER, COLORADA; (303) 694-0830; CALGARY, ALBERTA; (403) 3279-7919; MANUFACRTURED BY ADESY ENTERPRISES INC.; DENVER, COLORADO; COPYRIGHT 1982"

The back has two strips of yellowed adhesive residue, one to the left, and one to the left of the hook over part of the maker's mark. There is also yellowed adhesive residue on the hinge and its base.
The left section for the buckle's back is discoloured and blackened. Appears to be the result of wear or transferal from another surface (belt, etc).Mechanism
