A plastic cup, branded to Texaco with imagery of a vintage car, gas station, and two dogs.
Description
This is a large cup, made from cream-coloured plastic. Below the rim is a broad apron. Wrapping around the body of the cup are the following design elements: A maroon-coloured vintage car with a soft-top rood and spare tire on the left-hand running board; An orange-coloured Texaco gas station, with triangular gable roof and Texaco round star logo, a tall gas pump with Texaco branded globe light on top on either side of the building; below the car is the black serif text "Fifth in a Limited Edition Series®", and to the lower-right of the car is "©1987"; to the right of the gas station is an orange circle towards the top of the cup, with the round star Texaco logo (white circle, orange start, and blue "T") inside the top half of the circle, below which is another white circle with an inverted rounded black triangle with the yellow book text "ETHYL" inside, and a yellow bar across the bottom section; below the orange circle is the black san serif text "DRAIN; "WINTER-WORN" OIL; FILL; WITH NEW TEXACO" to the left of which are two small orange-filled squares; below the text is a stylised wheel, vertical lines, and a curved diagonal band; tot he lower right of the text are two dogs.
On the underside of the cup is a shallow indented circle, inside which is the moulded text: "PESCOR PLASTICS; FT. WORTH, TEXAS"; "32"; and "817-926-5471".
Old Description (Kelsey Dalrymple, 2/10/2020): Large plastic traveling cup. White, with illustrations around the edge. The largest is of a car at a Texaco fuelling station, another is of a man helping a woman with a broken car, and the last is of two dogs. Cup is fifth in a limited edition series.Collection
