Cleanliness

Correction fluid strip across upper back (used to apply accession number, but present previous to 2023 accession).

Surface

Large clump of hot glue was attached to the hinge and surrounding area. This has been removed with minimal damage (two ting points of finish removed with glue).

Structure

The buckle has been significantly broken, resulting in three separate pieces. Unclear on the incident through which this happened, but hot glue suggests it may have resulted from attempting to force the buckle from the surface on which it was mounted. The exposed interior along the break is silver-coloured, and the pieces do fit together with minimal points of disconnect from warping in the pieces. No obvious missing pieces.

Parts

The corner piece is particularly warped/misshapen around the top. The hook is comprised of not just the hook from the back, but the corresponding design from the front (a four-point star cut-out).
