Description

A medium-sized photographic print, with a white border. The image is of THREE ladies standing, with a fourth person partially in frame. The ladies are Peggy Munro, Verneil MacLeod, and an unidentified "Edmonton Delegate". Description: In the centre-of-frame three ladies stand. From left to right: The first lady is looking at the camera and dressed in a pale-blue blazer and skirt, with a white handbag on her arm and wearing a nametag or brooch; the middle lady is looking at the camera and wearing a matching long-top and dress set with a pink/yellow/green floral pattern, with a gold and black ribbon corsage/brooch; and the right lady is facing to the left-of-frame, is dressed in a navy-blue long-sleeve top, with a white skirt, and a long necklace. The room they are in wood-panelled walls (dark-wood raised/overlay panel wainscoting style), with red carpet, three table lamps along one wall, two frames items of artwork on the left wall, an armchair, and a fourth figure seated just out of frame to the right, holding a handbag and a cigarette. In the top-left is a chandelier light fixture. Accompanying the photograph (via proximity on the scrapbook page and context) is a white adhesive label with the typewritten text "Region VII Meeting, Calagry; left to right:; Edmonton Delegate; Peggy Munro, Calgary (Hospitality); Verneil MacLeod-Calgary (Public Relations)". Taken during a 1972 Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs of North America meeting, likely the Region VII annual meeting in Calgary (26-28 May 1972). Format: Landscape, colour, with white border.
