Belt Buckle, Accessory, Leather, Metal, Bronze, Tan, Barban Pipe Handlers Ltd.Description
A bulged rectangle belt buckle, branded to Barban Pipe Handlers Ltd. Intentionally damaged, hook removed.
Features: A bulged rectangular (rounded on all sides), leather and cast metal (likely brass, finished in antique-bronze) belt buckle. The buckle is curved.
Front Design: The base is cast metal, with a 2mm border around the edge. Mounted inside the border is a block of leather with the buckle's design hammering into it. The design is composed of the text "BARBAN PIPE HANDLERS LTD." along the bottom, above which is the stylised initial logo for the company (the letters with their tails wrapped around a pipe).
Back Elements: The back is darker in tone and has a crossed-dash texture. The hinge is rectangular with indented outer corners, and connected with the (absent) hook by a raised section. The hook has been docked. The marking on the stump suggests this was done with an electric power tool.
Old Description (Kelsey Dalrymple, 3 June 2020): Barban Pipe Handlers Ltd. Rectangular brass buckle with leather face. BP is wrapped around a pipe. (Donated by Bob Barnett).Collection
