An oversized colorized photographic print (Matte, card), featuring an oil rig in an arctic setting. The derrick is to the right-of-centre of the scene, with a wind-blown, snow-covered ground in the bottom quarter, and sky with cirrus clouds in the top three quarters. In the bottom-right foreground are two/three oil barrels. Slightly in front of the rig are the silhouettes of some other medium-sized objects (crate, barrel, etc.). In line with and behind the rig and the silhouettes of other items, equipment, and small buildings/doghouses. A small cloud of smoke/steam/flames is visible just to the left of the rig's base. The image has been colorized from a black and white original. The colour includes a peachy-coloured sunrise with blue sky above; a green tint to the rig; and yellow to the smoke/steam cloud or flames to the left of the rig's base.
