Description

Metal belt buckle with orange and black enamel, branded to Oildfield construction- Carnohan enterprise Inc. Grand Prarie, Alberta. Features: A rectangular, cast metal belt buckle with rounded corners, finished in antique-bronze and orange and black enamel. The buckle is not curved it is flat. Front Design: A 3mm border around the edge. The background is scattered lines/scratches as the design for the background. To the left of the buck is Large black enamel filled 'C', wrapped around a large orange enamel 'E' , with the word "INC" written vertically inside the 'C' filled with black enamel. Running across the centre of the buckle is an orange enamel filled rectangle with gold letters reading " CARNOHAN ENTERPRISES INK." Above the enamel filled rectangle is raised text reading "OILFIELD CONSTRUCTION", and below the rectangle is raised text reading "GRAND PRARIE, ALBERTA". Back Elements: The back has a smooth flat texture, with a hinge attached at one point by a leafy/ floral texture. Beside the hinge is a raised rectangle with makers mark "AT" "MADE IN CANADA" engraved into the rectangle. To right of the buckle is where the hook used to be attached by 4 leafs. Surface

Front: The front of the buckle has a scratch at the bottom left corner. Above the text Alberta is another scratch going diagonal. Another scratch on the bottom left corner of the buckle. At the top of the Black enamel filled 'E' is scratched and worn. Overall rest of enamel and buckle has smaller scratches and scuffs. Border: The border of the buckle is heavily scratched and worn down. Bottom left corner has small chip in the border. Back: To the left side on the back of the buckle there is a small scuff. the Hook has been damaged and broken off. The makers mark in the centre has a small dent/ scrape off of the raised rectangle. the hinge attachment point is slightly worn and discoloured.

Mechanism

Hinge has full range of motion and moves freely.
