Description

A metal sheave gauge, in a fanning configuration, and branded to Wright Canadian Ropes Ltd. Appearance: A sheave gauge made from metal (likely steel), with 7 tabs connected with a small domed metal bolt. The tabs transition in shape from narrow drop-shaped (narrow rounded at bold ent and more bulbous at alternate end), to a rounded drop shape. On the first tab (narrowest) is engraved the text "WRIGHTS CANADIAN ROPES LTD.". Each of the tabs also bears the corresponding measurements engraved, in inches. Cleanliness

Some residue and fingerprint on the surface of the metal.

Surface

Light to moderate scratches throughout. Notable examples include straight scratches on the front of the largest three tabs. The finish/lamination has become separated and broken away on the back on the largest tab.

Materials

Deep dent in an arch around the bold on the back of the largest tab. Discolouration patches in the metal or finish, most so on the middle tab (front and back).

Mechanism

Structurally sound. Parts move easily with minimal force.
