Description: The cover of a large, full-colour promotional book for visitors to the province of Manitoba. The front cover features the large yellow serif text "MANITOBA CANADA; VACATION HANDBOOK 1972" across the top, and the yellow text "YOUR GUIDE TO A FRIENDLY VACATION" across the bottom. Taking up the entire cover is a colour photographs of a bison's head, with small yellow flowers in the bottom-right corner.
The back cover is yellow, with the red serif text "the friendly province" across the top; the Manitoba logo of a bison made of text in the centre; and centred a the bottom is the Manitoba coat of arms with the red sanserif text "TOURIST BRANCH; DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM, RECREATION AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS; LEGISLATIVE BLDG., WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA R3C 0P8; Hon. Laurent L. Desjardins, Minister.; O.S. Eagleton, Deputy Minister.".
On the inside of the cover is a greyscale photograph of a historical house (left), and a black and white roadmap of the City of Winnipeg and vicinity (right).
