Description

A mini tape measure, branded to Ralph Tomkins Const. Tape Measure Body: A miniature tape measure, with a metal body in an irregular-pentagon shape, a narrow, metal, retractable tape, a plastic locking mechanism, a key chain, and a keyring. The tape measure has branding on Side A, in the form of a yellow plastic disc. Within the disc is black print in the following configuration: One outline of a semi-circle at the top-middle of the disc, a gap then a smaller, flipped semi-circle at the bottom-middle. Between the two semi-circles is the sans serif text "MOBILE: XJ75502; PHONE: 353-3943". In a curve around the top of the disc is the text "RALPH TOMKINS", and in a curve at the bottom is "CONST.". On Side B is a central screw, around which are consecutive indented rings that cover the majority of the side. Along the edges (top, back, base, front) is the seam where the two sides meet, and on either side of the seam is a banded line texture. On the front edge is the end of the tape, as well as a yellow plastic tab which is the locking mechanism for the tape. The tape has measurements in inches and centimetres; and is blank on the opposite side. In the top corner of the back edge is attached a 5-link chain, to which is connected a carabiner-style keyring attachment. On the base is a gold and black "MADE IN TAIWAN" sticker. Tape Measure: Length: 39in / 100cm; Width: 6mm Keychain: Cable chain, 5 links, 10mm x 6mm links, 31mm length; hash-texture over the two sides of the locking mechanism, with a rounded middle. Keyring: Carabiner-style, indented-loop shape, 44mm x 10/21mm x 2.4mm. Old Description (Kelsey Steil, 5/24/2022): Small tape measure with caribiner attached. Advertisement on one side in yellow for Ralph Tomkins Construction.

Surface

Moderate scratching throughout the metal and plastic disc surfaces. Some small points of blistering on the metal surface, notably in the four corners of Side B.

Light to moderate denting throughout the metal surface; most notably, two deep dents the top-left of Side B.

Parts

The "MADE IN TAIWAN" sticker has become separated from the body, leaving it loose. To be kept together with the tape measure with the use of a ziplock bag.
