Description

A medium-sized photographic print, with a white border. The image is of THREE ladies seated at a circular table. The ladies in the image are Hattie Noiles, Toni Welch, and Polly Holden. Description: Seated around a round table are three ladies, from left to right: A lady looking to the left-of-frame, dressed in a white long-sleeve blouse with mesh-like sleeves; a lady looking at the camera, dressed in an orange sleeveless dress, and holding a cigarette; and a lady looking at the camera, dressed in a purple and pink sleeveless dress, with a gold and black ribbon corsage, a white and red hat corsage/brooch (similar to one in our collection, 2004.2.206), and large white earrings. On the table in front of them are an assortment of tea/coffee cups, juice glasses, a juice decanter, two small green dishes, and various other items. To the right-of-frame is the corner of a small square table with a pale yellow tablecloth and bowls. Begin them is a dark-wood shelf under a large window with closed sheer curtains and open res patterned drapes. On the under-window shelf are a cream rotary telephone, bowl, and paper object. Accompanying the photograph (via proximity on the scrapbook page and context) is a white adhesive label with the typewritten text "Region VII Meeting, Calgary; Hattie Noiles, Chairman, Hospitality Cttee; Toni Welch, 2nd Vice President; Polly Holden, Hospitality Cttee". Taken during a 1972 Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs of North America meeting, likely the Region VII annual meeting in Calgary (26-28 May 1972). Format: Landscape, colour, with white border.
