Cleanliness

The surface of the leather case has assorted white residue. Unclear if this is a material like paint or mildew. There is orange/brown discoloration on the edges of the slide rule, with a particularly large patch on the left-of-centre bottom (front) and to the right side (back).

Surface

The print of "A. KOWALCHUK" is worn from handling, and has discoloured to green. Unclear what the original colour was, but it may have been gold.

Materials

The rivets on either side of the cover opening are green with oxidization. There are creases in the leather of the cover flap (where it slips into the body to secure, and around the base of the flap on the back where attached) from flexing and movement when opened and closed. Some additional creasing in the leather at the base of the opening from the same.

Notes

Other than some staining, the slide rule is in very good condition.
