Description

Matchbox branded to Diamant Boart. Outer shell: Outer shell consists of a rectangular prism with the ends missing for where the match holder fits. The top of the shell consists if a yellow-gold embossed border from the edge to 2 mm in. inside this border is an emerald green embossed background with a scale texture up close. the middle of the green is text in the same yellow-gold embossed Saying "DIAMANT BOART" with a stylized logo of a connected lowercase 'd' and 'b' to the left of the text.the text is surrounded by a raised bubble in the paper that has deflated towards the middle. The side of the shell have reddish-brown scratch paper to light the match. the bottom of the shell has a dark brown diamond cross-hatch pattern on a beige background. The short end of the bottom says "Made In Japan". the inside of the shell is a gray-brown cardboard. Match Holder: The interal match holder is a folder cardboard box open at the top . it consist od a white outside and a gray inside of exposed cardboard. Matches: Matchbox as of accession contains 21 matches each match is roughly 35 mm long. the matches are all wooden matches witch a off-white match head. Old Description(Kelsey Steil, 6/1/2022):Green matchbox. Advertisement on face for Diamant Boart in gold. Matches inside have white tips.

A couple of dirt spots on the match holder ends

Scratches surronding the embossed text following the curvature of the sucken portion. significant sratches are above the "db" logo and the 'I' in Diamant

Materials

Gold border has 2 ents in the left side in line with the 'd' in the logo.

Structure

The shell to the side perpendicular to the top of text is becoming deformed from compression
