A black and white photograph of a field during a blowout (likely Atlantic #3 Blowout), featuring an area of muddy ground that takes up the middle and bottom of the image. At the centre of the image is an area of vigorously boiling liquid mud, big splashes of mud being thrown into the air. Photo is slightly out of focus. On the reverse in blue ballpoint is written "FROM W.I. COLLECTION; F. ALMOND", and in pencil "Atlantic #3?". The photo is not dated, but if this is indeed the Atlantic #3 blowout, then it is likely dated to between 8 March and 6 September, 1948.Collection
