Description

An oval belt buckle branded to Canadian Fluid Systems Ltd. Features: An oval, cast metal (likely brass) belt buckle, finished in an antique-bronze colour. It is not curved. Front Design: a 3.5mm block border around the edge of the buckle with a speckled textured inside surface. Central to the design is a raised Canadian maple leaf logo with the letters "CFS" in the leaf. Surrounding the leaf is double edge circle with a point at the top. Along the bottom of the buckle is the text "CANADIAN FLUID SYSTEMS LTD. Back Elements: The back has a rough texture, with no hook or hinge. In the centre of the back is the makers mark "SOLID BRASS BTS MADE IN USA 1978 BTS" Old Description (Kelsey Dalrymple, 6/3/2020):Canadian Fluid Systems Ltd. Oval brass belt buckle with maple leaf in centre.

Surface

Front: buckle has surface damage on the bottom right side over the letters LTD. Scratches, fading and discolouration on front side and border of the belt buckle. Back: Hinge and hook have broken off. Leaving marks from previously being attached. Adhesive residue along the top on the back of buckle.
