Slingsby T.7 Kirby Cadet CF-ZAL was built by the Gull Gliding Club under the leadership of George Dunbar, in 1946. At the time, George was a member of the Gull Gliding Club of Nova Scotia. The glider was built in Dartmouth over a period of a year and a half, consuming 2500 person hours with contributions from as many as 15 individuals.
The glider was flown from the Stanley Airport. The first flight was a hop to 25 feet on October 19, 1947.Photograph Details
