Description

The Gulf Gliding and Soaring Club operated from Sumas Airstrip, located in the Sumas Prairie east of Abbotsford, during the summer of 1949. Club equipment included a Boeing Primary and a Schweizer TG-3A acquired from the UBC Thunderbirds club in July 1949. Club officials in 1949 included F. W. Simpson, President, and Don Cadenhead, Chief Flying Instructor.
