Description

This Lethbridge Gliding Club primary glider was built in 1933, by club members, in Art Larson's back yard. There is photographic evidence of evolution of this glider first to have fabric covering of the rear fuselage, and later a tear-drop shaped fabric covered "pontoon" with a painted circular club logo "Skid Busters" Historical sources state this glider was designed by Larson, ground launches achieved heights of over 500 feet, and that the glider made more than 1500 flights from the Municipal Airport in North Lethbridge.
